The Lascivious Biddies, an all female cocktail pop quartet based in New York City, have earned a reputation for having an energetic and tightly woven live show, full of laughter, expert musicianship and a dash of sentimentality.

At SXSW 2005 the Biddies made a splash with the media and fans alike. "If the Donnas are rock's answer to girl power, then the Lascivious Biddies are jazz's answer to female singularity." (The Austin American-Statesman).

The Washington Post calls them "Manhattan's Hippest Girl Group." According to Time Out New York, the Biddies' second album, Get Lucky, overflows with "angelic vocal harmonies, wordy humor, jazz chops and pop moxie."

CBS Evening News confirms: "The Lascivious Biddies could teach us all a thing or two."

BiddyCast_03-21-05.mp3

Steve, our favorite sound engineer, and Tony Kahn, our favorite producer from WGBH Morning Stories.

Finally another BiddyCast!!! I, Lee Ann, apologize for the late posting.

This BiddyCast is pieced together from bits a pieces of what we were up to during the day at SXSW last week. We frequented the Podcast.net booth, the Pollstar booth, the InRadio booth and many many others. The lady making announcements on the plane has a funny accent, and I think everyone was wearing aviator sunglasses under their carefully mussed hair. What a SCENE!

On a seperate note, last week we were able to hang out with Tony Kahn from WGBH Morning Stories for a couple of days! We had NO idea he was so wonderful! Keep listening to his podcast for some serious Biddy information.

I love your show! I just discovered it today. My band does a podcast too! Granted, we just started last weekend and we have a whopping two episodes up so far, but we're going to be recording some songs this weekend and I'm sure a podcast or two will come out of it. :)

Your band has such an original sound, and I really dig your music. Keep up the kick-ass work!

Make sure you alert via the BiddyBlog when the Morning Stories binaural recording of the Biddies hits the web. I'm looking forward to listening to it, or maybe I'm listening forward to it.

Got the Get Lucky CD, transfered it to the iPod so I can listen on the go. Excellent stuff.
