The Lascivious Biddies, an all female cocktail pop quartet based in New York City, have earned a reputation for having an energetic and tightly woven live show, full of laughter, expert musicianship and a dash of sentimentality.

At SXSW 2005 the Biddies made a splash with the media and fans alike. "If the Donnas are rock's answer to girl power, then the Lascivious Biddies are jazz's answer to female singularity." (The Austin American-Statesman).

The Washington Post calls them "Manhattan's Hippest Girl Group." According to Time Out New York, the Biddies' second album, Get Lucky, overflows with "angelic vocal harmonies, wordy humor, jazz chops and pop moxie."

CBS Evening News confirms: "The Lascivious Biddies could teach us all a thing or two."

Thank you for apologizing about NJ. It's not all hellish. Out here near the western side, there are trees and even cows and some gardens. Real cows. I didn't grow up here, but I've started to take it personally when people disrespect my adopted home state.

Oh, and a mention of travelling 95. Never, ever, stop at Maryland House. Maryland House is the nastiest road stop on the 95 corridor between NYC and South Carolina... I've never driven further south, so there may be nastier, but it'd have to have something like dead bodies in the parking lot or something like that. We always stop at Chesapeake House, about 10-15 miles north of Maryland House. It's still pretty clean, it's got a Starbucks (which is always busy), and a little tschatchke, chachky, gifty thing store where you can get snacks if it's too busy in the main building.

Yeah - it's funny.
We travel all over most of New Jersey and have yet to be turned off by it. Someof our very favorite venues (Watchung Arts Center, Mount Laurel Library & Grounds for Sculpture) are in NJ, and we even recorded every single one of our records there!
The amended statement reads:
"The sucky party of New Jersey are theindustrial mazes surrounding the entrances to Manhattan. The rest of it is quite beautiful, fresh and green."
Yours,
Lee Ann
