The Lascivious Biddies, an all female cocktail pop quartet based in New York City, have earned a reputation for having an energetic and tightly woven live show, full of laughter, expert musicianship and a dash of sentimentality.

At SXSW 2005 the Biddies made a splash with the media and fans alike. "If the Donnas are rock's answer to girl power, then the Lascivious Biddies are jazz's answer to female singularity." (The Austin American-Statesman).

The Washington Post calls them "Manhattan's Hippest Girl Group." According to Time Out New York, the Biddies' second album, Get Lucky, overflows with "angelic vocal harmonies, wordy humor, jazz chops and pop moxie."

CBS Evening News confirms: "The Lascivious Biddies could teach us all a thing or two."

77,000 and counting...

A lot of people know about the American Red Cross (redcross.org), but don't forget about Doctors Without Borders if you feel like you would like to donate some cash to help out the severely unforunate victims of the Tsunami.....

Yet another reason to love living in NYC

These kids were having a blast on Amsterdam Ave near 100th St (& a great mexican restaurant). They had found this fallen mattress, and the two boys were having an impromptu wrestling match while the girl played referee. Dad was standing nearby shaking his head in disbelief at the antics of youth....

Adam Curry. Again.

So yeah. We are, like, totally crushing on Adam Curry. We've edited together an excerpt of one of his podcasts (MP3 format), "The Daily Source Code." Subject: The Lascivious Biddies (about 5 min)

Happy December!!!!!

Dearest Biddy Buddies, we have finally achieved December! We are struggling to wrap our minds around the fact that it is almost 2005! Thanks so much for giving us the gift of your presence and attention. It's been a great time.

This next week we will be performing at two holiday parties: The first in Long Island City, the second in Manhattan. We've learned a new Xmas song and another new song which is NOT a holiday tune. We are looking forward to seeing you, drinking a glass of champagne with you and toasting the new year.

Last week, we had the privilege to play at a small birthday party for a very fabulous lady names Fifi. She was turing 60 that day, and in her honor, the dessert was meringue and ice cream cake topped by BIG SPARKLERS. You know you are in a crowd of classy people when: The combined smoke of 15 sparklers set off the fire alarms in the entire building (an event space on East 74th). The hostess had spent untold amounts of money on the shindig. Instead of having a heart attack and running around with a taser, she (as well as the rest of her guests) just sat there and laughed. That's the kind of party we like to go to.

So what can you expect from The Biddies in 2005?
*We'll start our own podcast! (ipodder.org) As soon as we learn XML & RSS.
*New spakly outfits!
*Two Married Biddies in the Spring!

All good things. We wish the same for you!!!!
