The Lascivious Biddies, an all female cocktail pop quartet based in New York City, have earned a reputation for having an energetic and tightly woven live show, full of laughter, expert musicianship and a dash of sentimentality.

At SXSW 2005 the Biddies made a splash with the media and fans alike. "If the Donnas are rock's answer to girl power, then the Lascivious Biddies are jazz's answer to female singularity." (The Austin American-Statesman).

The Washington Post calls them "Manhattan's Hippest Girl Group." According to Time Out New York, the Biddies' second album, Get Lucky, overflows with "angelic vocal harmonies, wordy humor, jazz chops and pop moxie."

CBS Evening News confirms: "The Lascivious Biddies could teach us all a thing or two."

Podsafe for Peace

"If Every Day Were Christmas" is the result of a unique benefit project initiated by Adam Curry.
The song is a collaboration between 32 singers from 8 countries -- a group collectively known as Podsafe for Peace -- all brought together by the populist phenomenon of podcasting and the desire to pool their talents for a worthy cause. And few causes make more sense at Christmastime than UNICEF, which aids children in need around the world.

The song was was produced by Slau and co-written by Orlando Pagan.
Listen to "If Every Day Were Christmas" on the podsafe music network.

Purchase "If Every Day Were Christmas"
for just $0.99 USD. All proceeds from sales of the song will be donated to UNICEF!

Lead vocalist Lee Ann here, reporting for The Lascivious Biddies:

New York is a truly international city, populated by all kinds of people from all kinds of places who follow all kinds of divine and secular codes. From Thanksgiving to New Year's however, it seems like we all are forced to give in just a little bit to the overwhelming presence of so many twinkling lights and santa hats. That darn Christmas marketing...err...spirit is so alluring!

Even after living in New York City for 9 years, there are still times when I love to go out on the town and pretend I am a tourist. I would like to share my last itinerary with you - as it is fine prelude to joining us at Trump Tower for a hot toddy and bowl of curly fries.

#1: Call in sick to whatever you have to do on the 14th, and sleep way too late.

#2: Starting at 37th and 5th, gaze admiringly at the animated window displays at Lord & Taylor. Maybe get a lady in your life a pair of cashmere-lined gloves or get someone's brother a Von Dutch trucker hat.

#3: Cut over to Bryant park behind the New York Public Library to check out Citibank's FREE ICE SKATING RINK and a fun holiday market not unlike that in Union Square. The Ice Cafe in particular is very cool. Citibank rocks as they are also the sponsor of Carnegie Hall's Neighborhood Concert Series.

#4: Cross the street to Coliseum Books - quite possibly the best bookstore in town - for a hot chocolate and a travel book for your dream destination.

#5: Head up 5th Avenue to window shop with the hordes of tourists (don't expect to move very fast). You'll check out the big tree at Rockefeller Center, the windows at Saks. If you are a girl, go into Sephora for a free makeover and a new perfume. If you are a boy, wait around impatiently for the girl you are with to finish her stupid makeover. Gaze in wonder at all the accessories and outfits available for your cousin's American Girl dolls at American Girl Place.

#6: You need a drink, now don't you!? Come on over the the awesomely bad Trump Tower to view many over-the-top gold-tone architectural features & hear some great music from your favorite band in the whole wide world!!!!

XOXO
